PLO in Peace talks

The news that the PLO are to get involved in the Middle East peace talks in America next month highlights the growing prominence in Middle Eastern politics of tribute bands. The fact that the Palestinian Light Orchestra will be around the table instead of Hamas suggests that Western tribute bands hold far more influence than was previously thought. They won't be the only band trying to bring peace to a region troubled by religious conflict since the beginning of time. Ever since John Lennon sang "Give Peace A Chance" music has been striving to reconcile the factions. The other acts invited to the talks include Bahrainarama, Sunni and Cher, The Rolling Stonings, Talibananarama, Nile Young (Cairo's own "Heart of Gold"), Rammadanstein, Echo and the Iraqimen (who play under the name Echo and the B'nai men in Israel) and 10,000,000 Maniacs.
Bob Geldof was not invited.
